What is an ATS resume checker?
An applicant tracking system (ATS) is the software most employers use to receive and filter job applications. It reads your resume and screens it for the keywords and skills a role requires, often before a recruiter sees it. An ATS resume checker estimates how well your resume matches a specific job so you can improve the fit before applying.
FitWright checks your resume against the exact job description you paste in. The score has three parts: keywords, skills, and section completeness (whether the standard resume sections are there). Each part is shown, so the number is never a black box. It does not promise an “ATS pass”. Nobody honest can. Run it before tailoring to see the gaps, and again afterwards to check the tailored version covers them.

What is an ATS score?
An ATS score estimates how well a resume matches one job description. FitWright’s has three parts, keywords, skills and section completeness, each shown separately so you can see where the number comes from.
Does a high score guarantee an interview?
No. Hiring depends on people. A high score means your resume covers what the job asks for, which is the part software can measure.
How does FitWright decide what is "missing"?
It pulls the skills and keywords the job description emphasizes, compares them with your resume, and lists the ones your resume does not cover, so you can address the real gaps truthfully.
Does it check my resume’s formatting?
No. The score covers keywords, skills and whether the standard sections are present. It does not test fonts, layout or how a particular employer’s system reads your file.
