What is job application autofill?
Job application autofill fills out application forms for you: name and contact details, work history, education, and the screening questions that keep coming back. It exists because most applications run on a small number of applicant tracking systems, such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and Ashby, whose forms are long, repetitive and the same across hundreds of companies.
The FitWright extension fills these forms from the profile and saved answers you keep in FitWright. Review mode is the default: it fills the form and stops, and you press Submit. Automatic submission exists as an opt-in that is off by default. It needs both the site administrator and you to switch it on, and it runs inside daily limits.
How application autofill works
Build your profile once
Your details live in FitWright, imported from your master resume, plus answers to the screening questions applications keep asking.
Open the application form
Browse jobs as usual. On a supported ATS the extension recognizes the application form.
Start the fill
One click fills the form from your profile and saved answers. It only touches the real application form, never a site’s search box.
Review and submit
Check every field, fix what this job needs, and press Submit yourself. That is review mode, the default.
What it does, and what it won’t
What it does
- Fills contact details, work history, education and repeat screening questions from your profile.
- Attaches your resume file where the form asks for one.
- Offers an answer you chose to save on later forms that ask the same question.
- Drafts answers to open-ended questions for you to edit.
What it won’t do
- Submit by default. Automatic submission is opt-in, off by default, and capped per day.
- Fill a site’s search box or anything that is not the application form.
- Work everywhere yet. It is tested on practice forms and not yet validated on live employer sites.
- Install from a store. The extension is in beta and not yet in the Chrome Web Store.
What it costs
An answer drafted for an open-ended question uses 2 credits. Add your own AI provider key in Settings and FitWright charges no credits for your AI use.
Which application sites it fills
Support comes in two levels. Dedicated support knows the form. Best effort reads the page and fills what it can recognize, so expect to fix more by hand.

Best effort

- iCIMS
- Taleo
- SAP SuccessFactors
- Jobvite
- Breezy HR
- Recruitee
- Teamtailor
All of it is tested on practice forms, not yet validated on live employer sites. Check every field before you press Submit.
Application autofill FAQ
What is a job application autofill tool?
It fills online application forms from a profile you keep once. The FitWright extension (beta) has dedicated support for Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Indeed Easy Apply, and best-effort filling on Workday, iCIMS, Taleo and other ATS forms.
Does FitWright automatically submit job applications for me?
Not unless you turn it on. By default the extension fills the form and you review and submit it. Automatic submission is opt-in, off by default, needs both the site administrator and you to switch it on, and is capped per day.
Which sites does the autofill work on?
Dedicated support: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Indeed Easy Apply. Best effort: Workday, Workable, BambooHR, iCIMS, Taleo, SAP SuccessFactors, Jobvite, Breezy HR, Recruitee, Teamtailor. All of it is tested on practice forms and not yet validated on live employer sites.
How do I install the extension?
It is in beta and not yet in the Chrome Web Store, so there is no public install link yet.
How is this different from auto-apply services?
FitWright’s default is to fill one form and wait for you to press Submit. Its optional automatic submission checks each job against your rules first and stays inside daily limits.
Is application autofill free?
Mostly. When hosted AI credits are switched on, an answer drafted for an open-ended question uses credits, and matching unusual form fields can use a small number. With your own AI key none of it uses credits.
